Custom Equipment

Crafted, Not Cloned

These are not cookie-cutter imports. Every TKStar piece is built by hand like a Bugatti—angles, welds, bolts, and finishes are refined until perfect. They are custom tools, not showroom ornaments, made to last for decades under real weight. Please don’t expect mass-produced timelines; precision takes time.

The proof is on the floor of Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym in Syosset, NY, the East Coast Mecca, arguably the most hardcore gym for bodybuilding and strength training in the world. For decades, TKStar machines have been a fixture in an environment where equipment that doesn’t perform gets pulled. The fact that thousands of pieces have stood the test of time there tells you everything you need to know.

Our Core Products

The TKStar Perfect Seated Calf

Built in 1988 and unchanged since, the Perfect Seated Calf locks you into position and doubles the load through leverage—one 45-lb plate feels like two. The dense pad holds its form without shifting, while the geometry forces a full stretch and contraction. Its custom footplate creates a more natural feel and stays light on the top of the movement, driving a strong negative rep.

Calves are the body’s most stubborn muscle. This machine was engineered to punish them until they respond. Unlike cheap alternatives that rattle and flex, this one stays solid, delivering the same brutal reps decade after decade.

    BBZX2 Back Row

The BBZX2 is built for strict pulling with no shortcuts. A robust chest support locks your posture while carefully tuned leverage arms channel force directly into the back muscles. What lifters notice first is the feel—smooth, heavy, and consistent through the entire rep. That refined feel is the hallmark of TKStar’s engineering, with every piece tuned for lasting performance.

    Standing Preacher

Most preacher benches are flimsy, with thin pads, shaky frames, and misaligned angles. The TK Standing Preacher corrects every flaw. The pad angle follows the natural arc of the curl, keeping tension on the biceps from bottom to top. The upright stance and locked-in elbow position eliminate rocking and cheating. Uniquely, this design lets you hug the pad, locking your torso in even tighter for unparalleled isolation and a maximal contraction. Solid, strict, and built for serious training.

    Standing Leg Curl “Hamstring Killer”

Engineered to isolate one leg at a time, TK’s standing curl locks the body in and drives the hamstrings through a punishing stretch and contraction. Imports use thin steel and pads that split within a year; this machine is built like a Bridgeport mill.

It hasn’t changed in over 45 years because it doesn’t need to. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. This machine is strict, heavy, and built to outlast the lifters using it.

    • Dimensions: 18” H × 70” L × 40” W
    • Machine Weight: ~244 lbs
    • Capacity: Forged for heavy plate loading, tested under abuse

    Old School T-Bar Row

Most T-bars are crude: a plate sleeve on a pipe with no thought for angles or back safety. TK rebuilt it with correct footing, leverage, and support so the lats—not the lower back—take the load. It’s the same brutal, effective movement from the golden era, but engineered to hold serious weight without flexing. The geometry is dialed in to target the lower lats in a way no other exercise can. It’s the secret to the dense, thick backs that defined an era.

    Classic angle row

Generic row frames allow cheating with momentum and force lifters into awkward positions. TK refined the Angle Row until the pull path drills straight into the lats and mid-back while keeping posture locked. The oversized frame doesn’t flex, and the strict path forces every rep to count.

A triple-X-large pulley diameter slows the movement, demanding super-controlled reps and deeper muscle activation—perfect for the back, which was designed to move heavy weight slowly.

    • Dimensions: 100” H × 66” L × 36” W
    • Machine Weight: ~455 lbs
    • Capacity: Takes heavy plates without bending or flex
    • Build: Steel thickness ranges from .7 to 2.11 at stress points, 277 marine-thread stitched pads
    • In Production Since: 1988

Options: Handle variations, frame finish, upholstery
